We can now choose to have a matrix view enabled for showing survey statements to survey participants. Using this, they can see multiple questions in a single view, and select the answer options with minimal scroll across the page.
The “Enable Matrix View for this Section” setting in the survey’s assessment allows survey creators to present all survey statements of a section on a single screen, arranged in a matrix/grid-style layout. This view helps candidates see all statements and their response options together, making it easier and faster to answer MCQs that share similar options or rating scales.
When enabled, the section appears in a table-like (matrix/grid) format, allowing candidates to view, compare, and respond to multiple questions at once — improving both speed and consistency.
Below is how the UI appears to survey participants on enabling it:

Questions that have same answer options are very well suited for this kind of view. Matrix View simplifies this by presenting:
✔ All section questions on a single page
✔ Answer options aligned side-by-side in a grid
✔ A table-like view that is easier to scan and compare
How It Improves Candidate Experience:
• See everything at once — Reduces navigation effort and scrolling
• Answer faster — Side-by-side options speed up decision-making
• Maintain response consistency — Prevents contradictory responses
• Compare questions easily — Ideal for rating, evaluation, and attitude-based sections
By reducing clicks and cognitive load, Matrix View ensures a smoother, distraction-free test experience.

Now, Feedback Seekers have the flexibility to send reminders to the Feedback Providers nominated by them.
On the nominations page, Seekers can go back anytime and choose to send personalized reminders to those Feedback Providers who are yet to complete the survey. This not only puts the onus of triggering respective reminders on the Seekers, but also helps in driving improved completion rates. The templates of these emails are configured by the survey Admin, hence we keep a control on the kind of information being passed on via the email.
Below is from where this setting can be enabled:

We also have the flexibility of informing Seekers to send reminders to their respective Feedback Providers so that optimum use of this feature can be made. An automated email to the Feedback Seekers 3 days before the survey closing date; informing them to send reminders to their respective Feedback Providers who are yet to complete the survey.

Introducing AI powered summarizer in 360-degree feedback reports:
For the open-ended Feedback questions, multiple comments are received for a Feedback Seeker from multiple Feedback Providers. It usually takes a lot of time for Consultants/De-briefers/Coaches/Managers etc. to debrief the seeker’s report as they need to go through a bunch of comments to get an understanding of the kind of feedback the Seeker has received.
With the AI-powered summarizer, we will now be able to present a summary of all the open-ended feedback received by any seeker. This summary presents bullet points and talks about the comments received by the seeker and the sentiment shared by the providers. The summary will not include the comments provided by Seekers for themselves. For each open-ended question, the summary will be shown separately.
How the summarizer works:
With the help of openAI’s advanced language model, we summarize the open-ended feedback. Behind the scenes, we filter out all noise from the data of the comments and the NLP technique creates an abstraction of bullet points from the large corpus of open-ended data. It identifies the frequently mentioned topics & themes and organize them into bullet points to give a clear understanding of the feedback.
As soon as this summary is enabled for the survey reports, the reports will start getting processed by the AI engine. This setting can be enabled for closed surveys only where all the comments have been provided and final data is available to perform analysis on. Depending on the size of the data, the AI algorithm might take a few hours to analyze and process the summary.
How the summarizer can be enabled:
Below is from where this setting can be accessed for each survey:

Here is a sample report: Sample report with AI generated summary
Important Points to note:
- This feature is in Beta phase; since results are generated via AI, it might not be 100% accurate.
- This summary would be available in the individual reports only after the survey closes. This is applicable to English language surveys only.
- The Summary would not be generated if the total number of words in all the responses is less than 500 words.
- This summary does not consider the Self feedback.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new feature enabling clients to Import Coding Questions during live sessions. Interviewers will now have access to a content explorer to import coding questions—either from Mercer Mettl’s extensive question library or their custom problems—directly into live interview sessions.

This enhancement will allow interviewers to tailor sessions based on specific role requirements by selecting questions that align with the relevant tech stack and difficulty level.

Additionally, interviewers can run pre-defined test cases during live coding sessions to automatically verify whether a candidate’s code meets the expected outcomes.
In the Candidate Reports section of a SmartADC event, users can now download bulk Participation Status, Excel reports, and PDF reports for multiple candidates in one go.

- The “Participation Status” file provides detailed information such as candidate name, event name, cohort name, registration status, participation status and task-wise completion status.
- The “Excel Report” includes key report components such as candidate and event details, competency scores, Strengths & Areas of Development (AODs), Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Recommendations etc.
- For “Bulk PDF reports”, users can download reports for multiple candidates in a single zip file, which will be sent via email. An email address can be specified at the time of download to receive the zipped reports directly.
This enhancement streamlines report access and enables efficient data sharing and analysis across stakeholders.
Now send reminder emails to survey participants only if the required completion rate has not been achieved. By default, this is set to 100%. However, if you have achieved a respectable completion rate for the survey (say 80%), then you can set up conditional reminders, which will take care of this use case and reminders will not be sent to participants.

SmartADC events now offer the option to create cohorts for managing different groups of participants.
Admins can now create multiple cohorts within a single event, enabling them to launch the same event structure at different schedules for different cohorts of candidates.

This eliminates the need to duplicate or recreate events, making event management more efficient and seamless. With event cohorts, admins can easily manage multiple launches while maintaining consistency across all of them.

Strategic Benefits
- Flexible Scheduling: Run the same event multiple times at different schedules tailored to specific cohorts. This flexibility allows for better accommodation of participant’s availability, maximizing attendance and engagement.
- Time & Effort Savings: Reduce administrative workload with a more efficient event launch process. Streamline the event management process by eliminating the need to duplicate or recreate events and their reports for different cohorts, allowing admins to focus on more strategic tasks.
