Below are some of the key highlights of the new experience:

Our updated design features new color themes and icons that not only enhance the visual appeal of the tests page but also improve usability. The fresh look is aimed at creating a more engaging environment for users, making navigation smoother and more enjoyable.

2. Folder Creation

Organizing your tests is now easier than ever with our folder creation feature. You can create folders that will be displayed in the folder section at the top of the “My Tests” page.

3. Moving Tests to Folders

We’ve simplified the process of organizing your tests. You can now easily move both existing and new tests into any folder, either individually or in bulk.

4. Creating Subfolders

Take your organization a step further by creating subfolders within main folders. This hierarchical structure allows for even more detailed organization of your tests, making it easier to manage large volumes of tests.

5. Enhanced Sorting and Search Options

Finding the right test has never been easier! With our new sorting options, you can now sort both folders and tests based on recent activity, name, or creation date. Navigating through your folders is now a breeze with our new search feature. You can quickly locate folders using their names, ensuring efficient navigation and saving you valuable time.

6. Live Test Indicators

Stay informed about your active tests with our new live test indicators. This feature allows you to easily identify which tests are currently live, helping you manage your testing schedule more effectively.

7. Progress Bar for Draft Tests

For those working on draft tests, we’ve introduced a progress bar that visually represents the completion status of your drafts. This feature helps you keep track of your work.

Web Plagiarism Detection Against Candidate Code

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our sophisticated algorithm, which leverages advanced technology to identify copied material, ensuring that the submissions we evaluate reflect genuine understanding and original thought.

“Web Sense” utilizes state-of-the-art techniques to analyze the code submitted by candidates. It examines the structure, context, and phrasing of the content, comparing it to existing web material. By employing advanced matching algorithms, Web Sense can detect not only direct copying but also instances of paraphrasing and subtle rewording.

WEB SENSE

When a submission is evaluated using Web Sense, the candidate’s report includes a plagiarism score, indicating the percentage of content that matches online sources, along with the link to the website where the maximum match is detected. This score helps evaluators understand the originality of the work.

Bringing you closer to up-to-date skills and original content

For an organization like Mercer Mettl, that works with multiple influential and high impact customer, we always strive to present the best content. In this endeavor, we’ve built a communication system to inform customers about the frequent updates to Mercer Mettl’s content.

Our teams work tirelessly to keep updating the latest content and getting rid of the content that has been exposed. We will now be informing you customers, on a monthly basis of the updates that we make to the assessments that you are using.

Post an email communication, certain questions would be archiving withing the next few weeks of the email. This measure is intended to ensure that our assessments reflect up-to-date skills and contain original content.

Don’t you worry, you may continue to use the existing assessments without any changes. However, please note the following for better clarity on how this will impact you and your assessments:

  • While existing assessments can remain as they are, we recommend updating them with the latest skills and questions from our inventory. A complete replacement for the archived questions and skills would be available in the Mettl questions inventory.
  • If there are no test takers for the assessment, you may edit the composition of the existing assessment itself.
  • The archived skills and questions will not be available to be added to any assessment.
  • If there are test takers for the assessment, please create a duplicate of the assessment before editing the composition. The duplicated assessment will not include the archived skills and questions, that were earlier part of the original assessment.
  • You can view the assessments that will be affected, from the assessment dashboard (“My Tests” page).
  • Each email will also have a button for “My Tests” that will take you to view the assessments that would be impacted due to the archival activity.
  • To identify the specific skills impacted, please review the assessment composition, by opening the assessment.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at mettl-support@mercer.com.

Combining Peer Feedback with Assessment Metrics

We are thrilled to announce the integration of “Assessment Centers” and “Feedback Surveys”. This powerful combination is designed to provide organizations with a unified and holistic approach to talent evaluation, bringing more value and efficiency to their assessment processes.

Here is a brief on what’s new.

Integrated Reporting

Scores and feedback from surveys can now be seamlessly incorporated into Assessment Center’s comprehensive reports.

The integrated reports can highlight key strengths, developmental areas, and actionable recommendations, combining assessment metrics and peer feedback, giving decision makers a complete picture of participant’s potential. This streamlined reporting aims to enhance clarity, reduce the need for manual data collation, and ensure consistency across all evaluation metrics.

Streamlined Participant Experience

Similar to tasks like tests, interviews or group discussions, participants can now access feedback survey tasks from right inside their Assessment Center’s dashboards.

The integration ensures a smoother process for participants, allowing them to complete pre-works, assessment day activities and now surveys in a single, cohesive workflow. This aims to reduce redundancy and enhance engagement.

Assessment Center participants will be able to self-nominate feedback providers, approve providers as well as provide the actual feedback directly from their dashboard. Peers who are not participating in the assessment center will be able to do the same via the links shared with them over email.

Strategic Benefits

  • Comprehensive Talent Evaluation: Combining assessment scores with subjective, real-world feedback creates a complete view of an individual’s performance. Organizations can identify both immediate potential and long-term developmental needs with greater precision.
  • Holistic Employee Development: By integrating feedback surveys into assessment centers, organizations can support more tailored development plans that align feedback with actionable goals.

Now show up to 30 Competencies in the Spider Chart!

Introducing ‘Compact View’ in Spider Chart.

We can show around 12-16 competencies in a normal Spider chart depending upon the Competency names. But to be able to show a very high number of competencies in a single Spider Chart, the compact view can be enabled which helps in showing comparison of ratings for all these competencies in a single graph.

On enabling this, below is how it can appear in the report:
